They Cheyney DE series of Linear Diode Array (LDA) X-ray detectors represent the fastest and lowest noise product for real time x-ray imaging.
They offer a range of detector interfaces, including Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) and Camera Link.
The unique architecture, which is now in its sixth generation, incorporates many important features. All calibration functions are performed within the detectors which output fully normalised data. All detectors feature single or multiple lanes of radiographic triggering, and free running or encoder synchronised scanning. Output data translation provides for both inverted (negative image) and non-linear response curves, to optimise detection performance.
The detectors in the range are designed to have a central sensor position, with connectivity at the end of the detector for easy installation, and built-in collimators to minimise potential radiation damage to the sensor elements and the effects of scatter. Detectors are available with multiple rows of sensors to easily facilitate multi-beam x-ray systems, and angled collimators allow for systems in which the beam geometry is not perpendicular to the transport mechanism.
